In its founding year, Yountville optimist club sponsored an Essay Scholarship Grant through Optimist International Foundation.
We received numerous submissions from multiple Napa County High Schools. The students wrote heartfelt, impactful essays about their volunteer work in the community.
First place winner was Mariana Coronado from Napa High School, second place winner was Neela Bose from Justin-Siena High School, and third place went to Kevin Martinez also from Napa High School. Our winners will be awarded, $500, $200, and $100 respectively.
Our Pizza Party on March 31 was well attended by our scholarships winners and their families, as well as Optimist Club members.
